Hey all,
Just saw a new update for Instant CD/DVD, and it seems iCopy is now on 0287, or as they call it V8.20

Anyone can tell if it has any improvements vs. pervious versions?

Hi Tore,
I saw that statement, but they also changed the icopy.exe and the whole .AX bunch.

So I assume there will be a change in the quality - either for good or for bad...

And FYI - in the shared directory of instantcopy the "new" vobac3.ax file version is 2.002, but the one that comes in InstantCopy v8.05 is 2.004. FYI - both of them show the same product version 2.001

And if we talk about if here is some of the files updated:

Vobmpg2.ax: 1.0.0.46
vobsplit2.ax: 1.0.0.60
vobsrc.ax 1.0.0.15
vobtrans.ax 1.0.0.66
vobmult.ax 1.0.0.15
vobdump.ax 8.0.0.10
vobac3.ax 2.0.0.2
icopy.exe 8.0.0.287
vobid.sys 1.1.0.20

FYI - indeed, The recordingAPI was almost totally changed.

Wow,
I did a comparison last night between a trimmed down "Finding Nemo" (About 6.35 MB)

There is a very easy place to check the quality of the transcoder and that is when Nemo is going for the first time to the drop off.
During that scene from school to the drop off I really see huge diffrence between transcoders.

Intervideo DVD Copy 2 is amazingly horrible at that scene compared to iCopy.
