not sure if this has been discussed yet or not. But I currently have Dishnetwork and their HDTV service I was wonder if their is any way to get it from the the satllite to my PC. I heard they use 8PSK encryption on theri HD. so is their any way liek addionital hardware or a method I can capture the HD streams to my PC 1080i and 720p streasm if possible?

your best bet is to use the device's firewire output (if it has one) and have your computer act as a virtual d-vhs recorder. more info at avsforum.com and 169time.com .

There is absolutely no way to do it without modifying a series 6000 receiver to include firewire output and using the vhs-d method mentioned above. Dish network unfortunately has a hardware problem in all their current "firewire enabled" receivers that basically broke the firewire. Even if you could find something to decode the 8PSK, there's no way to decrypt the feed(legally) from the dish encryption.
