I really really like what Valex was doing with the AC3Filter but I fear he has ceased work on that project. So I was wondering if there are any alternatives to the AC3 Filter for on the fly digital encoding?
Thanks!

i have tried this filter too, but it is way behind AC3Filter, and my experience is that this filter doesnt work all the times on my pc despite my effort to keep all my media files to have the same specs.

I cant get to work well for me either but I think Haan should collaborate with Valex on a unified encoder/decoder I am sure the end result would be phenomenal!
By the way I did find another alterative the OPUS-563 (http://www.mds.com/Products/product.asp?prod=OP%2D563%2DE) you have to pay for this though.
