First off let me say that DVD-RB is a great tool. Thanks jdobbs.

I have run in to an issue with DVD-RB that has me puzzled.

I recently backed up Season 1, Disk 1 of the X-Files. During chapter 4 of the "Conduit" episode, there is a part, just after Moulder and Scully have pissed the Sheriff off at the local jail, that if you are fast forwarding, the entire next scene just after the girl leaves the note on the agent's car, is skipped along with the scene where they visit the bar shortly after they talk to the girl in the library. If you are not fast forwarding, it reads the scene just fine and allows it to play. I thouht this was freaky and put it in my software dvd player and it did the same thing, but only when fast forwarding. I payed attention to the counter while letting the scene play normally and here is what I got. At approximately 13:09 in the disk, the time switches from 13:09 to 10:23!!!

The DVD plays through just fine when not fast forwarding, but the counter freaks out as if there was a timestamp issue with the chapter. the video is physically there, just unable to be fast forwarded through as the timestamp is not correct and the software as well as stand alone DVD players see this as the end of the chapter and go to the next chapter.

When I backed up this disk these were my specs. The only thing that has changed is the version of DVD-RB.

DVDDecrypter 3.2.2.0
Avisynth 2.5.4
CCE SP 2.5
DVD-RB 0.49 (I have updated since then, but this is what I used at the time)

Sory for the long post, and the problem isnt really much of a problem just annoying. If anyone else has backed up this disk with anything close to these specs and can go to this part in the "Conduit" episode at the timestamp above and see if this happens that would be great. Thanks again for the awesome software.

I was looking at the disk I burned again last night on my standalone and the counter goes back there as well. The only issue is with fast forwarding. Anyone else have this ever happen?

Do I need to post this in the bug forum jdobbs?

Thanks

E No. I got it. There apparently is an error associated with fast-forwarding and the Data Search Index tables that only happens under certain circumstances. I just haven't been able to line up what those circumstances are yet.
