Gearing Up For Dual Layer Authoring?

Hello. I mainly transfer DV to MPEG-2 DVD. I would like to know what is necessary to gear up for dual layer authoring. The main goal is to produce high quality 2.5 hour discs, written using RSDL.

Does any (reasonably priced) authoring packages/tools exist to accomplish this goal? I'd like to get started with at least disc images on the HD until the drives/media are readily available.

Adobe EncoreDVD already supports this.
Currently it is better for professional users to use 2 DLT tapes, as DVD+ media cannot go to replicators.
Encore will set the layer break for you, as well as let you choose a location if you so desire.
