Hey all ! First post here for me and it's one asking for help ;)
I'm trying to back up a r1 copy of Titan AE. When checking final result in dvd2avi, the Video type-window flashes progressive/interlaced like madly. Seems one frame interlaced, the next progressive and so on.
It looks ok in powerdvd. I've tried using all different aspects in dif4u, but best result so far is by using Autodetect ntsc vid-type. Also if I check Force Film in dvd2avi it plays ok.
In my stationary dvd-player I get video output type Interlaced, when original is all progressive.
What have I missed, anything/everything or I'm a just completly lost here ?!? Any advices welcome.

Hi and welcome to the forum.
You seem to have given the answer yourself:
Also if I check Force Film in dvd2avi it plays ok.
So why not use that mode?

Hi back and thx :)
Well, since I get that prog/inter flashing in final vob's, and scan output from stationary dvd-player says interlaced (should be progressive since original is), it feels like I shouldn't have to use ForceFilm in dvd2avi.
When I chk the *.m2v before encoding it looks as it shoul in dvd2avi. FieldOperation -> None and video type Progressive.
But as soon as I cce it, it will have changed that to flashing prog/interlaced in dvd2avi unless I use Forcefilm. And still get an interlaced backup in my player ?? :/
Hope I explain it somewhat understandable, just weird imo ?

Would using BatchCCEWS (latest) and checking "Mark all frames progressive during pulldown" fix this man's issue? Just a thought..

Hmm, never tried BatchCCEWS actually. I'm using DoCCE4u. Maybe I need to change app to that one if I can't get this puppy to play back ok with DoCCE4u.
That BatchCCEWS supposed to be better or ?
BatchCCE is the successor to DoCCE4U. however for a long time it was not 'actively' a supported/integrated part of the Big 3 process.
recently though, Eyes`Only has implemented an ability to be a front-end for BatchCCE, as has D3s7's app. Scenaid. also the developer of BatchCCE, BBwoof, has made some changes to the application that provides some fixes and added features to the program that have provided a greater incentive to switch from doCCE4U to BatchCCEWs.
and as long as we continue to show are support to BBWoof .....things can only get better! :D
try it out ... you know you want to!
