i've been encoding some anime into dvd compatible cvd resolution mpeg2. I've been able to successfully convert the divx to mpeg2 on my laptop using the wizard in tmpgenc 2.521.58.169. I'm no longer using the laptop and I'm trying to do the same on my current desktop pc. Using the same software and same methods I did with the laptop, the encoded video on the desktop pc produces many large blocks in the finished video. I couldn't find a solution to this problem searching through the forum.
I tried using CCE 2.5 with DVD2SVCD as an alternative, which seems better on the desktop pc, but the finished video is a little jumpy. I looked through the forums and it seems that the problem is due to the field order. I tried leaving it on automatic, top and bottom field orders all all three give me the same jumpy picture also.
Does anyone know why TMPGEnc is giving me the blocks on my current computer?
Is there another cause for the jumpy video in CCE?
I would prefer to use TMPGEnc to encode the videos as it seems easier to select the source range on the divx and run batches, though CCE/DVD2SVCD does seem faster but seems to take a little more time for me to prepare the videos for encoding.
