Well This is begining to drive me crazy, I mean I try everything to get my card to pass untouched AC3(and DTS if possible) to my External receiver. Now I already search this forum a lot, and I read the FAQ numerous time, I basicly tried everything to get it to work again in fact. actualy on my last computer(sound blaster live value and windows XP) I was always able to get it to work after a clean install, but I was never easy. Basicly it was something like( after getting win xp and SB live driver upd to date) Install Power DVD, install powerDIVX nexgen, install BSplayer, install bunch of coddec(ffdshow, divx) register iviaudio.ax uninstall powerDVD, reboot and voila. but It was never that simple and this list was only a reference has it never work the first time.

So now Brand new PC win XP and a sound blaster audigy 2. So after I tryed my own steps at first, and of course it didn't work so I try about every thing I found out on numerous forums, but still I can't get a clean AC3 signal to my receiver... So I thought that maybe some of you might have the same kind of list that I have to get AC3 bypass to and external decoder thru Spdif on a Win XP SB audigy 2 right?

please, any help will be appreciated!

well you know what it is, half an hour after posting, I founded a solution by myself.

I discover the passthru option in the creative option panel(shame on me, but I didn't have this one on my SB live)

I also downloader the beta version of AC3filter on the tread about it, and voila!

Ac3 passthru work flawlessly, I got great clean sound, but I still got probleme with DTS playback, it is jerky(only tried from and AVI so far) will try with a DVD with DTS tonight to see if it work, but as I read the tread on ac3filter, it look like I am not the only one with DTS problems.

thansk anyway :)

Lunnar,

How do you mux the DTS track into your AVI ? I've been trying to do this for a while but cannot find a tool to do it with.

Thanks

I wish I could help you, but unfortunatly, I didn't encoded it so I really don't know.

but the way, I've finnaly been able to play it flawlesly, with BSplayer and AC3filter, the DTS is corecly passed thru spdif.

now, I got to find a way to play Wav DTS(from DTS audio CD thru my spdif)

AVI-Mux can do this for you: http://www-user.tu-chemnitz.de/~noe/Video-Zeug/AVIMux%20GUI/index-eng.html

well since we are in the de-mux subject, Anyone know what sofware I need to de-mux and mux back a .ts(vlc player) file?

I got a 720p version of a movie in .ts with and AC3 DD5.1 sound track, and I will love to replace the ac3 DD track with a DTS track I got for this movie

Well, you seem like one of those pro Dolby Digital, no problem, I don't want to start another DTS vs DD, there are already too many of those...

But I am quite interested in a Software that can modify a .ts stream file. I don't want to re-encode the video, I just need to be able to at least add another sound track, but ideally will allow me to remove the DD AC3 track

if anyone can help me on this one, it will be much appreciated

Hemm, I got one part figured out at least....

I've been able to demux my .ts file, so now I got my raw mpeg2 video file(actually a .mpv file) and my raw .dts file(from a DVD).

Now how can I join those 2?

I will like to find a simple way to mux them so that i don't have to convert those files.

I could create a avi-dts file, but it mean converting the mpeg to avi quite a long process.

could I encore a .vob file ? even if the mpeg2 file is in 1920X1080 ?

is it possible to convert my DTS file to a .mpa file so I can join it back with the Mpeg2 file?

I will continue to search a solution, and post it here if I found one, but any help will be appreciated...
