Im trying to burn large .ts and .avi files onto DVD-Rs (yes they all fit). Problem is when the burning is finished the DVD-R should contain my large video file (4,3GB) but the files are only like 100-300MB in size, and if i open them it plays for about 5-7mins. Looking at the back of the disc it looks like the whole disc is burned, and not just the first 100MB (sorry, im bad at explaining things :P).
I use Nero 6, DVD-ROm ISO with no multisession. I have a NEC burner and Thats Write DVD-R discs (yeah i know this is not the best quality discs, but a have burned 100+ of them with no problems at all). Also i get no error messages in the burn process.

i really dont know how to solve this, any help appriciated

Thanks.

If your files are larger than 2GB, you have to use the UDF filesystem afaik. How much data does the burned disc contain (do a dir or look up the value in Explorer)

Proper authoring tools, like mkisofs, can write files up to 4 GB to ISO 9660 file systems, but files larger than 4 GB require UDF.

BTW, Nero 5 did show an error if users tried to add large files to a compilation using ISO. I really wonder why they have removed that check. Maybe the RIAA pays them for making you burning coasters...?

I'm having a similar problem. I've made a DivX file thats huge! This one file is 3.8Gb. High res video, AC3 sound, ect. Anyways when I try to burn it to a disk the disk it always messes up. I can see on the surface of the disk where the data was supposed to have been burned but my drive says the disk is empty.
I'm using a Ricoh DVD+RW MP5125, Optodisc DVD+RWs, and Nero 5.5.10.42. I burned both disks using the UDF file system since the file is too big for ISO. Yet both of these disks appear blank and won't reburn. Lastly I tried updating my drive's firmware to v1.68 and Nero to v5.5.10.56 and again.. I got the same thing.
Anyone got any ideas that might fix this?? Would be appreciated.
