No sound in MPC

I suddenly lost all audio using MPC. It always gives an error that an appropriate codec cannot be found. This while any other player DOES have sound. What could caused this and how can I repair?

btw, MPC has almost all decoders inbuilt..then what audio are you using..

wait: i think you might have changed the sound output options in MPC.
Go-> View ->options -> output -> set DirectShow Audio -> System Default
