Adobe Encore DVD Subtitles

Hi, i want to know what type of subs does encore dvd use. i tried using SubtitleWorkshop to convert a srt subtitle file to encore dvd subtitle file but encore dvd still doesnt accept that file. am i doing something wrong or is encore dvd just behing gay?

Write the subtitles in a text editor, and save in UDF-8 format.
Use the following protocol: Line Timecodein Timecodeout title, like:

PAL

01 00:00:00:00 00:05:00:00 welcome to my DVD
01 00:06:00:00 00:10:00:00 we hope you enjoy it

NTSC
Replace colons with semicolons.

Then all you do is import the text file into Encore by right clicking on the subtitle track. The easiest & foolproof way to do it.
