Hi
I am tring to work with virtualdub, create dvix from a mpg.
I have problem with the mp3 encoding, the mp3 option (mpeg layer 3) is not given at the compretion menu, I guess that's meen that the codec does not installed, or that VD cannot find it..
How do i make it work ? How can I install a codec (like lame), that the VD will know it ?
thanks

Lame is commandline encoder. You don't need to install it.
I think we all :) should http://forum.doom9.org/images/smilies/readfaq.gif

I have allready tried, now again.
I couldn't find anything about encoder other than lame, and not about codec installation.
can anyone give me some advice?

@pogostick: not entirely true, there is a LAMEACM
@elihay:
if you want LAME to show in VDub then look in the directory where you extracted lame and see if you can find a 'lameacm.acm' file and a 'lameacm.inf' file. i believe they both can be found in the subdirectory 'ACM'. Now right-click on the .inf file and select install.
just google for LAME or LAMEACM and you'll find something useful to download ;)
good luck!
