audio out of sync

:confused: i have 2 movies that are quicktime. i run them through tmpgenc and it encoded the first one just fine. vidio and audio great. but the second movie the vidio is fine but the audio is out of sync. the audio is ok it's just out of sync. gspot will just tell me the movie is a quick time movie. so i don't know what format the audio is in. what can i do to fix this or can it be fixed. i tried to open it in virtualdub but it would not open it either. thanks any and all help would be greatly appreceated.

1. What are you converting them to in TMPGenc?
2. Is the "out of sync" consistent or does it vary through the movie?

The answers to the above will determine how hard / how to fix your problem.

thanks for the reply pyscrow. when tmpgenc opens i went with cbr mpeg-1 layer 11 audio (mp2). the audio is out of sync through out the hole movie. like i said in my post i don't know what format the audio is in. the first movie did just fine. 2nd movie vidio is great and audio great just out of sync. i hope this helps. again thanks for the reply.
