converting mulitple avi to dvd format

I have a couple of tv shows 45 min each. I want to convert them to vob files and burn them onto a dvd so i\I can maybe have 4 eps on each disk. However I tried to join them to make one big file (using nandub) like in one of the conversion guides but because each file has a different sampling rate this failed. Does anyone have helpful hints or guides?

This has been discussed so many times that you all you have to do is to use the Search button at the top of the page.

I usually recommend to the beginners TMPGEnc for encoding to DVD-compliant MPEG format and merging/cutting if required, and TMPGEnc DVD Author for creating DVD out of MPEG files. Especially the second program is very powerful in its class yet user friendly.

I already tried tmpgenc it analyised the file then returned an error of invalid pointer

it was tmpgenc 2.5

the file specs are below;

640 x 352

audio 130kbps

video
23fps
140kbps
video sample size = 16 bit
video compression = xvid

so would this be a program issue, or should I be looking for other programs to use?????
