Greetings all,

I've searched the forum and can not find an answere to this.
After authoring my dvd I compile it and every so often meastro will lock up half way through the compile process. the status indicator will continue to blink and the hard drive light stays on. I can alt tab out and do other things so the PC is not locked just the process. If I kill the process the hard drive led is still lit. I have to do a hard reboot. Then if I compile it again its fine. Please see the tag line at the bottem for my machine specs.

What Operating System are you using?

What Maestro build version are you using?

Are you using a Highpoint RAID controller?

I'm using windows 2000 server, promise raid controller set to raid 0 and the meastro build is 2.9.2915a.

Hmm, well, check out this post and see if it helps:

If it doesn't, get back to me and we'll see if anything else could be the cause!

There's nothing wrong with your build version, BTW - that was the last one they did and it evidently works very well, even in unconventional mode. Cough..

Although I'm not using Spruce up the raid issue doe's make a lot of sense. I'll try moving my large hard drive to the primary slave position and unplug my raid channels and see what happens. I'll keep you posted.

Looks like you hit the nail right on the head. I compile to a non-raid drive (My "C" drive and it works fine. I have not found an updated driver for my promise raid controller but at least I have a work around. Thanks for your help

I'm glad you got it sorted in the end, even if it is a pity that you can't use your RAID for compiling Maestro projects (at least for the timebeing).
