dvd encoder analysis?

is there some tool/way to guess the encoder used?
(something like encspot, gspot, drfanalyzer?)

I noticed TMPGEnc writes into User Data area of the MPEG file header, "Encoded with TMPGEnc ver.2...". This could be seen in ReStream for example.
