Regards from Sweden,
I would love to talk to people who are using this item and if they are happy with it. I particularly want to know if it can play ISO files. I like having copies of my DVD's on the harddrive. I am getting excelent results now in video recording by using iuVCR and TMPGEnc, but the problem is still computer noise at playback.
With the addition of a Thermalrite Heatsink and a Zalmon fan as well as an Aopen PSU with adjustable fan speed, I have reduced the noise level to very low levels, but it is still not as quiet as a conventional DVD or VHS player.
Now, I am leaning towards an SFF like a Shuttle or something that I can have hidden in a cabinet or perhaps one of the newer recording home units with a harddrive built in.
Has anyone seen a DVD recorder with harddrive that has a network conection also. I know that a Danish company, Kiss Technology at http://www.kiss-technology.com/?p=dp500&v=users has units that are DVD playback with Ethernet connections but as yet I have not seen them produce a DVD recorder with such a connection, that would be a good solution.
Anyway, now I'm just rambling but I'd love to hear what users of this Pinnacle product have to say about it.
