I have a few vids Iv taken with my camcorder and I have made a .mv2 and a .wav with Premiere Pro and I use TMPGEnc DVD Author to author it. Everything looks good on my computer after I burned it and use PowerDVD but in my stand alone and xbox the picture is really shaky when its movement in the movie...
Anyone know what Iv done wrong?

If the m2v is interlaced then try changing the field order. The 2 options are top field first or bottom field first, so change to whatever the m2v isn't atm :). You can change the setting losslessly using restream or pulldown. Restream or bitrate viewer should tell you what the current setting is...

Thanks alot Matthew!!!

I used ReStream and saw that my source was Top Field First but I had only tried Bottom and Progressive...
Changed to Top First and everything looks stady as a rock now! ;)

Your DV files should be buttom field order.

When you encode to mpeg (DVD)your movies you need to reverse the field order meaning Top field order.

In some cases like using Cinema Craft Encoder on Premiere you need to leave it as buttom field order.

Hope it helps

Lex55: Well... I dont have a DV camera so I record my movies from my analoge camera onto my hdd video. I then take the hdd and put it in my computer and get the video out of if with DVD2AVI and TMPGEnc and that leaves me with a Top Field m2v file that works perfect to burn onto a dvd-r...

Matthew: Thanks again!
