Has anyone tried DVD Menu Studio?http://www.mediachance.com/dvdmenu/index.html

What do you think of it? I noticed Doom9 has a guide for using Photoshop to create DVD menus. The Menu Studio says it is much easier to use with plenty of options and power. I wonder if he has tried it? If so and found it to be good, maybe some consideration would be given to doing a guide. DVD-labs does a terrific job and is fun to use for authoring. The Menu Studio looks like a good enhancer. Just looking for opinions as I am new to DVDs and Authoring

I own DVD Menu Studio and I rather like it, although the featureset seems quite limited until you play around with it for an extended period of time.

I'm afraid other commitments prevent me from devoting time to writing a guide at the moment, but it's actually pretty easy to use anyway, if you persevere at it for a couple of hours (which is exactly what I did!) :)

Failing that, I'm sure someone else here will stop by and might be willing to write a guide. To be honest, though, you might just as well read the excellent manual on the Mediachance homepage (and which comes as part of the installation package, if my memory serves me correctly).

Thank you for your reply. When I first tried DVD-lab it didn't make much sense till I read the Doom9 guide. Within a couple of hours I authored my first DVD. When first opening the Menu Studio I found myself in the same predicament. I'll take your advise and play around with it for a couple of hours. I'll also take the advise of your JFK quote. :)

@Arky

Thanks for the link, I'll visit and take a look. I spent the better part of a rainy day over the weekend experimenting. I learned a bit and have made a few menus. Each time I use both programs, I find more features to use. They are extremely versatile and fun to use. Although I still have a few weeks on the trial, I like what I see. I think I will be buying the bundled package of Menu Studio with DVD-lab soon. The bundled price is an added bonus. Thanks for your help. :)

Hi

I'm using it for some time now.

mostly i'm creating a still menu and not motion menu.

first i create my background with Photo shop (when need to work on some photos) (Wedding etc).

then i import it to the DMS to create buttons and other layers.

Finally export it to scenarist with easy as that.
