EPG equivalent in ATSC/HDTV?

I'm just reading through the ATSC specs and I came across A/65, which contains info about the Master Guide Table, Virtual Chanel Table, Rating Region Table, Event Information Table, Excented Text Table and Directed Channel Change Table (and some more) and I'm wondering.. is all that info used to create a system similar to EPG as we know it in Europe?
