Moving over to this forum, as I was recommended by Jel.
Here you can follow my earlier thread.

Well now I got a little bit further down the line.

I still can't get rid of Run-time error 13 type mismatch,
so I took NM4U out of the mix, and I have come all the way to the Scenarist step. (I'm using 2,7 version). After making the script and the .scn target, I check the first checkbox in the Step 3 and the I start it. After a few seconds it stops, and this is what the log says.

Layout Failed (Se message window), who tells me this.

hi Dan and welcome back :D Error Subpicture[2] (445:VTS_01_VSUB_P1A1-01-WL-En_444.sp) and (446:VTS_01_VSUB_P1A1-01-WL-En_445.sp) offset are overlapped (00:51:57:17-00:52:01:06) and (00:52:01:06-00:52:02:26) thi error is basically saying that two of your sub-pictures have an overlap in their display, which is not allowed.

to fix this, open up your trach VTS_01 in the 'track editor' window of Scenarist. look at your second substream (P1A1-01) and search for the offending subpicture '444' (note: you can use the magnifier to really zoom in on the subpics). once you have found it, highlight the subpicture, and in the property browser (lower middle window) select the end duration and modify it back by one frame.
for example if duration is 00:00:12;13 change it to 00:00:12;12. you will then notice that there should be a small gap between the subpics 444 and 445.

following this, compile and proceed as usual.

I'm still trying with NM4U Senarist version but it is still the same.

This is the error message i get from NM4U

Number: 76
Description: Path not found

EXE Name: NuMenu4U
EXE Path: C:\Programfiler\NuMenu4U
EXE Version: Version 1.4.7

Call Stack (lowest level first)

MainForm::go_Click (line 627)

It works perfectly with NM4U non scenarist version.

so the subpicture trick worked? excellent!

as for the numen4u issues, as i stated in your other thread, it is still in heavy development with the author, zuel, working hard to fix all of the issues.
if you encounter any problems/errors, could you please post the relevant issue in the numenu scenarist thread:
NuMenu4u Scenarist Version (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=73926)

cheers
