I have made a dvd from a analogue source that i have. I capture to my hard drive to mjpeg and then i did the postprocessing with virtualdubmod and avisynth. I save the audio with vitualdub after crop the comercials and then converted to AC3 with bbmpeg (AC
Machine). The video i encoded with CCE. After i have the mpv file and the ac3 file i author with ifoedit. The problem is that in the final dvd the audio is out of sync, not much but a little ms.
What i ask is what can i do solve this. I know that the ifoedit have an option to delay the audio, but i donīt know what is the real ms delay. How can i know the the delay to apply in ifoedit or what can i do to solve the audio sync?

Thanks in advance

In a case like this you probably just have to use trial and error =(

DVDMaestro with preview enabled is good for this as you can adjust the delay and preview without compiling.

But is your captured avi in sync? If so, and there is a delay at the start in the form of junk data, you may be able to figure out the delay.

My captured avi is not out of sync. Is there another way to find the delay than the dvdmaestro since i donīt have it?

Thanks

You can use ifoedit, it'll just be more annoying because you can't change the delay and then preview, you have to change the delay, compile, and then watch.

If you like you can load the avi in nandub, chop off all but the first few seconds, then save the audio ("save wav") and send it to me. Dunno what the deal is with captured avis but if it's muxed like normal nandub/virtualdubmod avis then I can find out the approx delay without previewing/compiling.
