wtf? HDTV ghosting?

There are vertical lines and ghost effects. Disregard the minor interlace artifacts.
What is this and how do I fix that?

Much "HD" content is upconverted SD and analog SD. There's nothing you can do about it. Except maybe drink a few whiskies while watching. Preferably Glen Fiddich, but I am not dogmatic about that.

What vertical artifacts? I see some heavy EE on vertical edges, but what are you referring to?
