"img" in square backets [], then the link, then "/img" in square brackets.

i can't type it here, because the forum will read them as image tags...

Be sure to uncheck the option "Automatically parse URLs" or the forum might turn your image url into a link and break your post.

Just to clarify you type <img> http:\\myimage.html </img>

but replace <> with [] .

I guess the question that needs to be asked Rommyke is, are you using an ISP which offers web space (so you can store your pictures)?

If you leave your PC on 24/7 and have an broadband connection, and an static IP address, you could install Apache server and store your images on your own home PC.

There are quite a few 'free web space' providers. However, many don't allow direct download linking for either images or files!

Soulhunter, one of our other forum members, asked about free webspace a few months ago. May be he could help you find what you are looking for?

I've been using them for the last couple of months. It's free and they explicitly support inline linking from message boards (They even generate VBB code for you to insert). File size limit 600kbs.

Wish I hand known about it before!

Or before I started hosting them from my own home PC. Which was just after Xmas!
