Thanx to the Doom9 forum members for providing some outstanding feedback on TCMP. Toff, Blacksun, Ciler, DCoder have released TCMP 4.0 RC6. This is a precurser to 4.0 going GOLD on May 17th with our final release.

Here are just some of the bullet points of what's new in TCMP 4.0 RC6:

- Directshow Blacklister (block codecs from loading)
- Minimize to tray icon
- Improved support for 'REAL Alternative' Codec
- Improved NSIS 2.0 Installer (by request)
- New Matroska CDL Plug-in
- Improved Matroska Support
- Logarithmic Volume Control
- More improvements for Multi-Monitors
- DVD Enhancements and fixes
- 25% smaller installer (by request of Doom9 ;)

Plus well over 50+ additions, fixes, and changes

[RC6 Known Issues]
- clicking the spectrum analyzer... it should pause/stop
- Still looses focus (even with fix there is an update needed)
- l3codecx.ax error on initial install and startup
- problem in ogm and avi w/mp3 (division by 0)
- CDDB Plugin refresh scroll info

avih thx.... Doom9 missed my email he should be post RC6 shortly on the frontpage.

As noted the next release on May 17th will be 4.0 Final... once that is done we will naturally do 4.xx releases... but to point out why someone asked "why we have not released 4.0 final sooner", is because our main focus has not been on TCMP4 (Toff would argue that :> )but over the past few months has been the work that has gone into TCMP5.

Though it is way too early to talk about without showing you TCMP5.... I will post our community goals soon for it and some BIG NEWS for Developers looking to get their hands deep in a media players 'code' ;)

Ahead also used to announce release dates...the result was a bug that could delete one of your drives entirely ;)
