I don't know if the question is on another post. If yes, post a link thanks. How can i make avisynth to not convert the video to yuy2 and leave it in yv12 when starting from a dvd source? Is it convenient? And another thing. If PAL letterboxed play resolution is 768x576 and the anamorphic play resolution is 1024x576, and all is coded in 720x576, what are letterboxed and anamorphic NTSC play resolutions?

If you use AVISynth 2.5 and Mpeg2Dec3dg, it will be YV12 in the first place. Just don't include the ConvertToYUY2() statement.

As for the "playback resolutions", keep in mind that the resolutions you are talking about are the "square pixel" resolutions applicable only to computer screens. So for NTSC that is 640x480 (4:3 or what you call "letterboxed") and 854x480 (16:9).
