I am totally disappointed. I need to know why i keep on getting speeds as slow as 1.3-1.4 with an Athlon64 3200+. I must be doing something wrong.
Here are the specs on my rig:
Athlon64 3200+
Gigabyte K8N Pro (nforce3 150 chipset)
1GB Ram (2x 512MB DDR400 PC3200 GeiL)
WD 80GB and 160 GB harddrives (w/ 8mb buffer, no raid)
Software:
Windows XP Pro with SP1
Latest of DIF4U!,DoCCE4U,Reauthorist.
CCE 2.50 (will using the latest version help inprove speeds and stability)
Scenarist
and almost minimal programs running in the background.
I only perform DIF4U backups of full DVDs onto 1 DVDR using the original Big 3 method.
My Athlon XP 2200+ gives almost the same speeds as the Athlon 64.
So my question if what should I optimize. I know i should be able to get 2.0 speeds in CCE but it just doesnt happen.
Please help me out. maybe i can do something with my memory or my bios to get an improvement.
