Brightness Control using Auto GK and Xvid

Im having problems with the brightness of my conversions. As an example, in the first episode of the Coupling DVD that Im attempting to rip, there is a red couch that the people are sitting on. When I've converted the disc (using Xvid btw) the couch turns a shade of maroon. The conversion was done using 75%quality and came out at around 350mb for 30 min. Any ideas?

Well after some time away I decided to give this another try. I went ahead and did another conversion. I ended up with the same brightness problem. Anyone have a line on this? Thanks.

Use athos FFDShow/DivX decoder and you can see there is no brightness problem..;)
