I don't know if anyeone here uses this program but I just built a home theater pc and what i have done is put two 120GB drives in it. This way instead of having to take out disk and put them in and all that crap it would be like a tivo style list of all my movies then I just click ok on the one that I want to play. So basically I am going to put all of my DVD's onto my harddrives. However there is a problem. When I load a folder that has a ripped disk with the .vob files the program can't see it. yet it can see my encoded xvid and divx files. So I guess my deal is what would I need to do to copy a DVD down to a .avi format without loss of quality and maintain full functionality? Is that possible?
Thanks

It looks like this program has a pretty active forum. I even found a post by someone writing a tool that seems made for you:

MyHTPC is heavily modifiable...

And IIRC there is a way to modify the "show extensions" stuff somewhere !!!

Maybe its also possible to use a autorun file with "fake" AVI extension ???

Nah, I use PowerDVD with autoplay function to watch my movies direct from the DVD !!!
