Does AutoGK use external subtitles by default?

No, as it says in the guide (http://len0xmirror1.serveftp.net/~len0x/tutorial/AutoGK.html), in the section dealing with subtitles, AutoGK uses burnt in subtitles by default.

then why does it say winrar not found switching to internal subtitles? when I dont have external subtitles selected, and I have WinRAR. BTW whats the difference between internal and external subtitles?

internal subs are subs that are contained inside the movie file (can be 'hardcoded', but can also be 'soft')
external subs are always 'soft' though, since they are outside of the movie file.
the question was if the subs were internal or external, not burnt-in or soft :)
almost the same thing, but not really.
i like my subs soft and internal, less hassle with distribution then, plus the quality is superior.
