Right now I want to burn 3 different movies onto a DVD. I have 3 .mpv; 2 .mpa; and 1 .ac3
I know that a authored dvd will not work if there are different audio formats. My question is if there is anyway to convert the .ac3 to .m2a.....or convert the .m2a into .ac3 so that all of the audio formats are the same.

Thanks in advance

Easy way to convert between these two formats is using BeSweet (see download page).

Note that you can have different type of audio on one DVD as long as it's located in different titlesets. For example, TMPGEnc DVD Author creates a separate titleset for each title, so you can have different audio with different movies.
