I'm getting a few audio dropouts using DVD Rebuilder and was wondering if anyone else is seeing this. Using the latest version (0.42), CCE Basic 2.67, latest Avisynth and MPEG2DEC3DG.DLL. I'm ripping firs w/DVD Decrypter and encoding from HD. I then convert to ISO using IMGTool Classic, and finally, burn with DVD Decrypter. I've tried burning with different media to no avail.

I'm getting 4 - 5 of these per hour of video. The same movie encodes and plays fine converted with CloneDVD2.

Any ideas where I can start looking for problems?

TIA,

H

i'm also notice that, but were 2 or 3 in the red hot "live at the slane" dvd. The dropouts are maybe just 1/4 second long. I ripped with dvd shrink. I'm using cce 2.5 with eclcce, and last avisynth also.

@caprioles

FYI, when you do a search, select "display as post" from the bottom of the search page. This will make finding your search results easier as they will not be returned as threads.

For those experiencing this problem, has it been there since the beginning? or did it just come up in the last few versions? Jdobbs has made some significant changes to workout the stuttering issue, so perhaps it would help him to know when this issue first appeared.

What I've seen in the past related to audio dropouts is a situation where the presentation time for the audio conflicts in some way with the SCR of the packet. I am currently working a problem associated with ERROR #0004 that may have an impact on this... Try it again when I load v0.45

I will also write a test scanner that I will go through streams and look for situations where SCR and PTS might conflict. I have a backup I've done that has the dropout at one point, so I at least have something to test it against.

Please hang in there. I think the number of bugs we've seen in beta is pretty consistent with the size of the effort.

I was running v0.42 when I reported the problem. Sorry, I can't remember when the problem started, but it was certainly with the 0.2x series. For whatever reason, it's always been there for me.

That said, thanks to jdobbs for taking the time to write a program that shows a lot of potential. I will be donating.

I think it's pretty amazing what you've accomplished so far. Many thanks (and a few bucks around payday) to you!

Jdobss......what you have done till now in such a short period is amazing. Its is normal that little glitches like the audio dropouts will happen in beta versions ...... and believe me if you say wait for 1 year ..i believe most of us will because we all believe in your amazing software. :)
