Hi all.
the new xvid 1.0 rc4 is faster than the xvid (xvid koepi 24062003-1) which comes with the gknot codec pack. and i think somehow the quality decreased too (correct me if i m wrong). i use gknot with vdubmod for encoding. updated gknot to 28.8 for xvid 1.0rc4 but i didnt get the quality as i expected. i followed the guide .... sometimes i get undersized avi. So which xvid version u use and recommend?
I preffer xvid, it better and gives sharp output. But after using new xvid i gave a shot to divx. 1st pass standard and 2nd (last) pass slowest. do u think 1st pass in slowest mood will increase the quality a little bit or theses no such thing.
I dont use qpel and turbo. do u recommand qpel for the new xvid1.0? and whats the recommended resize filter of gknot for 1cd rip. I m not worried about the encoding duration, i m worried about the quality.
