Hi,
I recently tried to back up one of my DVDs using DVDShrink. It gave me a "Copy Protection Error". I bought this DVD from columbiahouse.com. I read recently that columbiahouse employs a new encryption method from MacroVision. I can return the DVD and buy one from a regular store. Are DVDs available in regular stores or say amazon.com protected in a similar fashion? If that is the case, I will cancel my membership with columbiahouse. I mean, I am the kind of guy that buys CDs/DVDs, backs them up and keeps the original away. If I can't backup a particular DVD, I don't want it. Please advise. Thanks.
