View Full Version : DVD file repair and DVDSHRINK questions

I had great success with DVDDECRYPTER, DVDSHRINK and DVD2SVCD. I have two questions, though.

1)Is it usual for DVD2SVCD, when encoding, to create "test clips" while processing? Not just a few mind you, but many?

2)I had decrypted one of my DVD's to hard disk. DVDSHRINK prompts with errors in the files and can not continue the process. I have repeated the decryption several times and continue receiving the message. The disk is okay, plays fine; the files on the hard disk play fine with PowerDVD. Yet I can not shrink them. Is there a repair utility to run on the decrypted files that can identify the problem?

Thanks.

Thanks, I found one mirror that had the old file. Odd, though, that I was able to perform the operation on three discs of a four disc set. The others had no issues. I will give the older version of DVDSHRINK a test drive.
