Hello.
Whilst converting my DV file to dvd CCE 2.5 is giving the following message:
frame size 788 X 56 is not supported.
The dv file was captured from a JVC minidv camcorder and the captured file was converted using canopus dv file converter (I have tried different standards in canopus and the same error is given with all).
Does anybody have any idea?
Many Thanks
Chris

several in fact. What's the resolution of your DV video? I'm sure it's not 788x56, is it? Can you play the AVI? What are you importing into CCE? Is it the AVI directly or an AviSynth script?

Not sure, but this thread may help you come to a resolution:

(If you are using an AVS script this may help you)

Hello
I load the avi file in dvd2svcd. The avi plays fine, although I have not tried playing the avi converted using canopus. I am now converting in canopus to 'canopus reference avi' and will try playing it.
The error definitly says the resolution is 788 X 56, but this cannot be correct. The camcorder is 4:3 aspect ratio and says 520 lines of resolution on the top.
I have only used dvd2svcd and the programs in the package as i wanted to keep things simple to begin with. Could this be causing a problem?
Thanks

hehe,, I knew it. Oldest AviSynth error in the book. Your AviSynth isn't properly set up and DVD2SVCD uses AviSynth to frameserve your source into CCE. Whenever you get a resolution error in CCE, check if you can play your .avs file in a media player.. it'll show you what kind of error message AviSynth is throwing.
