Region Free Error

I have DVD region free enabled and can open and backup my copys of the sepranos with DVD Shrink V2.3. But I open the same disk with DVD Shrink V3.1.7.6 there is a change drive region warning that said that there is a Drive region Mismatch. I have run Drive Region Info V2.2 and it says that all the drives have no region protection. How is this possible. I have a pioneer DVD-ROM DVD-116 1.22 and cannot open the sepranos disk, but I also have a pioneer DVD-RW DVR-106D 1.07 that will let me open the same disk with DVD Shrink V3.1.7.6. If anyone has any idea of why this is happening It would be much appreciated.

Well the whole point of this forum is to learn, so I now have learnt my lesson. I un-installed all the software that I use and did a fresh install, and that seemed to fix the problem. Sorry to waste anyones time on this one.

On the contrary, this is far from a waste of time! I haven't seen an uninstall/reinstall mentioned for ages here in Newbies; it's important to remember how powerful this simple little maneuver can be.

You gave your thread a good title, explained your problem thoroughly, and even though you found the fix on your own, you took the time to post back with your results. An old hand and well-respected Moderator, Ddogg, calls this "punching the trouble ticket". I really like the ring of the phrase, but what I like even more is seeing it carried out.
