virtualdub error Invalid avi file: chunk at 724076640 extends outside of parent by 12

hello could anyone help me i recived this error message "Invalid avi file: chunk at 724076640 extends outside of parent by 12 bytes" when opening an avi that I own, I am trying to use virtual dub v1.45 to reencode the movie to divx then encode it to mpg with tmpegenc plus 2.5 so i can burn it on a vcd, it is currently xvid/yv12 and tmpegenc dosnt want to encode and now virtualdub doesnt want to open it either. can any 1 help?????

Perhaps, the file is corrupt at that position...:rolleyes:

First compress untill the mentioned frame, then the rest next. Then join two avis to one.
