i try to encode a private generated DVD, worked fine till today,
(my current version is 1.17beta)
further note: when i use CBR sound cracks (nothing else, no movie sound; with VBR its movie sound, no cracks, but sound is out of sync)
any ideas?

looks like DVD2AVI crashes on that source, which only happened to date on old systems (including dual ones).

i do not know what you mean by that
(my system is not that old, amd 2,6 ;) single cpu )

further, i reencoded the dvd and now it works, but absolutely NO idea why, i do not see any change :)

good for you - DVD2AVI very rarely have weird glitches :)
