View Full Version : Problem when CCE 2.5 and 2.66 exist

I'm using DVD-RB (v0.36a) for the first time here and ran into an interesting situation. I have CCE 2.50 SP as well as 2.66 installed on my computer. I selected 2.50 under the options and pointed it at that exe and went on with the three click operation. However, the .ECL it generated was not compatable with v2.50, so when I clicked Encode, it just said it created all the m2v files when really it did not. I had to go into the options and tell it to use 2.66+ and point it at my EclCCE.exe. It's encoding now, so that's as far as I've gotten.
I have v2.50 installed to "C:\Program Files\CCE SP v2.50" and 2.66 is in "C:\Program Files\CCE SP" if that helps.

Were you using EclCCE with CCE 2.5 also? It is required for all variations of 2.5 and all Trial versions.

Nope, EclCCE was only on 2.66. I use 2.55 when encoding my HDTV sources via avisynth. I just happen to have 2.66 from earlier times when I was just trying to figure CCE out.
I don't particularly mind since I prefer the status window in 2.66, but I figure it should have used 2.50 since that's the one I told it to origianly...

I'm saying YOU NEED TO USE ECLCCE WITH CCE 2.5, other wise DVD-RB will not encode the files.

Oh, even if 2.50 is not a trial version? Didn't expect that.
In any case, I just used it on my Firefly D1 and it looks fantastic! I am very impressed

In any case, I just used it on my Firefly D1 and it looks fantastic! I am very impressed 2.50 doesn't support command line parameters -- and DVD-RB needs them. eclCCE adds it on to 2.50.
