Hi
I suppose you guys covered it dosens of times, but I couldn't find it. I posted this in dvd2vcd forum, but now I realised it's actually a VDub issue.

I'm trying to join AVI's - XVid, VBR audio. It doesn't work. With either VDub or NanDub I get "audio is not the same format".
:(

I tried to re-encode the audio (to uncompressed PCM) but lost sync.

Any tips? TIA.

i think its because of the way vbr works, have you considered trying a different container? it might be an avi problem. mp4 or matroska would handle vbr audio mixes better (i think).

For some weird reason, VD and ND check the data rate even for mp3-vbr.

Use AVI-Mux GUI instead!
