Hello,
I have ripped a few DVDs to ISO, but decided now that I like the idea of removing both types of PUOPs. Several of the DVDs I have already ripped still have the PUOPS in them.
So, I am planning on using daemontools, mounting the ISO I previously created with dvd decrypter, and then ripping that mounted ISO to a new ISO, the only difference being the removal of the PUOPs.
The question is:
Is there any reason whatsoever - even a lame, theoretical, trifling reason - that I should re-rip from the original DVD instead of re-ripping from the mounted ISO ?
Another way to phrase this question is, is the operation above identical to just ripping the original DVD without PUOPs in the first place ? I am _assuming_ that it is - ripping to ISO the first time is a digital operation, and then mounting the ISO and ripping it again is completely digital as well - so I don't see the possibility of losing anything in the translation ...
comments ?
