Philips DVD737 - font support for subtitle

Cyrillic subtitles - is it possible? I wasn't able to run subtitles at all before and after firmware update (4.1.19 to 4.1.26). Is there some required format for subtitles? Is it possible to switch between Latin and Cyrillic fonts of subtitle (there was an announcement of improved font support for subtitle from Philips)?
