hi...

just finished encoding - audio nero he-aac - video xvid4 rc3
audio (44,5 mb mp4) + video (655 mb avi) = a/v 697 mb mp4
44,5 + 655 = 699,5 ... so this is 2,5 mb less...

i calculated target video size with Nic's MiniCalc - without calc avi overhead and using preencoded audio file size - and resulting video was right size (655 mb)... but as you can see mp4 file size is 3 mb less than target size in minicalc (700 mb)

so is there any bitrate calculator which calculates a/v size in mp4 container?

I'm not sure if you used the 3ivx Muxer to create your MP4, but if you didn't you should as I don't know of any MP4 muxer with lower overhead ;)
