Hello, I'm new here, just seeking some help with DVD2SVCD Build 1.2.1 Build 1. I upgraded to the later build, it ended up encoding me messed up VCDs, so I went back to 1.2.1 Build 1. That's not the point though, my problem is that when I select AVI source and Output File Type as VCD, the "CD Overlap Seconds" option under bbMPEG is grayed out. I need this because I want to see about 2-3 seconds before where I left off, when I insert the second CD in. Anyone know why it's grayed, or how to fix it? Thanks in advance.

As far as I understood, overlap is only supported for mpeg2 encoding.
Because you choose VCD (which uses mpeg1) the option is greyed out.
I don't know a really suitable work around with DVD2SVCD.
Maybe it helps you to use the "use frame selection" -function to make CD-Size suitable parts with overlap by yourself.

Thank you for your reply. I found the "use frame selection" box, but that's greyed out too. What should I do?

It was already set on Advanced. I guess there is really nothing I can do :(

Seems the only way is to split previously the avi in two files.
You can use VirtualDub or VDubMod for this, and select a key frame as cutting point. You also can overlap the two parts
