We need more information to make a recomendation. Like, how large is the main movie, how large is the total disc? Stuff like that. Also, this almost sounds like a "Which is better?" question, which is not allowed I might add.

This all depends on what you want. If you want a free solution then I would recomend DVD ReBuilder version 0.25 (It's not out yet at the time of this post, but it shuold be out soon) with either ReJig or QuEnc (both by Nic). If you want a paid solution, there are comparisons between a lot of the Transcoders, and InstantCopy and InterVideo's DVD Copy have always come out in first place as far as quality is concerned (This is according to the tests). These test have not compared CCE, QuEnc, or ReJig, though, so you might want to do your own tests to see which one _you_ like. We cannot tell you which one's we like, because it is our opinion, and someone else may have a different one. That's how the flame wars start and cause a many a thread to be closed.

If you want to stay with dvdshrink, you can run it twice:
the first time you get an oversized result.
Then compress the first result, and burn.
The quality (probably) will be poor.

Probably it's better to split the disc in two dvd-R.
You can use dvdshrink or dvdfab.

Anyway, you can always try two pass of dvdshrink. If you're pleased with the result, you can burn the dvd.

First it's not a CD, you surely mean a DVD. So, change your title. Then, I don't see this post as a "wich's best", so people, don't be too much closed, this guy just want some help.

Try to use DVDRB, it's new and fresh but in early development state. :) With this tool, you can use CCE (Not free but best quality), QuEnc (Free and comparable to CCE I think) and ReJig for low transcode. If you like it, don't forget to donate. ;) Good chance.

You actually don't "have" to remove any streams from your project: DVD Shrink will process it to fit regardless. You may not like the quality, however -- because everything you keep forces you to sacrifice quality to some degree. What I'd do (if it were me, and I'm looking to make a full-disk copy) would be to direct DVD Shrink to a folder on the hard drive (disable Nero burning in Edit/Preferences) and process it with all the goodies left alone. Then play it back using your software player... see if you're satisfied with the results. If so, you burn it and stay happy! If not, then you might consider making a "movie-only" copy of it, perhaps keeping only the 5.1 soundtrack. Doom9's Guides are superb if you have any questions about DVD Shrink's capibilities... and you've got your brothers and sisters here watchin' your back if that doesn't work!

Good luck to ya!
