Does anyone know if this is possble/ already realized. Is anybody working on it?

that would be slick. fyi there is a pci card available that uses up to 4GB of conventional ram (in addition to your system ram) combined with a laptop hard drive that records the ram contents prior to shutdown so that it is non volitile. never used one, but a nice idea. additionally, you can just play with the caching options in the registry to ensure that you don't cache your kernel or other desired system services to hdd, but leave it memory resident. if you have a lot or ram, this works nicely. also, you can create a ramdisk in windows and set windows to use it for the pagefile. this would give you almost the same performance when combined with a memory resident kernel as you would get if the entire os were loaded into memory. the only difference would be that new processes would be called from the hdd into ram instead of into ram FROM ram.

let us know if you try it.

No, sorry. I am currently playing on other courts and don't have any more time left.

Sounds well, but the issue with not having a good video card driver possibly no hardware acceleration, and the fact that it reboots every 24 hours. You can try movix however that should turn out well
