"Disc Not Empty"

I have some images to burn, but DVD Decrypter keeps telling me my Discs are not empty. I have tried about 7, and no luck. Are my media bad, or what?

hmmm without getting the I/O debug log off you, I'd say the drive is returning different info to the same request - asking it for details about the currently inserted media.

The first time it runs, the drive is saying the disc isnt empty, the second time it says it IS empty (as can be seen in the details you put in your last post.

Ok, so now I need you to eject the disc from the drive (whilst in ISO Write mode) - go into the setting, and on the I/O tab, enable the 'Debug Mode' option. Then click ok to come out of the settings dialog.

Now reinsert the disc. Once the window on the right has been filled up, disable Debug Mode again.

Then copy + paste all the info from the log into your next post.

Yup, that confirms it.

Same command submitted one after the other (different functions within DVD Decrypter).

As you can see, the 'BUFFER' data changes.

What happens if you just press F5 (refresh) ?

When I press F5, it just cycles and then starts outputting that same data.

Is there a solution, or am I just hosed?

hmm there must be a bug in the firmware then that means an earlier command is causing the drive to return invalid data for the first 'Read Disc Information' command.

I think I've implemented a workaround now.

I have to take your word for that - this is way over my head. I can't understand the debug output, but I am curious about one thing - if the firmware is at fault, why does my other burning software work? Also, do you think the problem might be solved simply by re-installing the firmware?
