I am trying to split a dvd into 2 dvdr and want to keep menus on both. For the 2nd disc, i cant get the chapter selection button on the manin menu to jump right to the corresponding chapter menu. I am wanting it to bypass the menus that are on the first disc but i cant figure out what commands to use or even how to find out the info regarding that correct menu location. I tried spliting with ifoedit and just removing the ID's of the menus that arent on the disc and it just stalls when i hit the chapter selection screen. if i could change the pointer on the main menu, i think it would work.

i am using ifoedit and menuedit. can it be done with these or should i get another program?

can anyone help me?

thanks,

J

try using dvdstripper to get the menus on both disc then with menuedit to replace the menus you don't want with a blank vob and edit buttons. Ohya try to edit the second disc's main menu chapter buttom to jump to the first chapter menu for that disc.

Of course it does. You are trying to direct the playback to a section you have just removed. Try to find out what menu PGC was the 1st chapter menu (that you removed). If there was only 1 menu page (1 vob/cell) per PGC just enter pre-commands in the PGC you want to skip such as "Link PGC <# of PGC where your menu is>". You may also need to check or correct menu commands with MenuEdit. In case all you find in menus is "LinkTailPGC", then menu commands are implemented in post-command section of menu PGC.
