Nero write says finished ok , but not

Win 2000 pro
Athlon 2.1 gig with 1 gig memory

Memorex / Phillips DVD+R discs

Tried to write a 4.2 gig HDTV *.ts file
Nero took 20 mins to write said file ok
File not ok windows explorer says 202,000K,+/- file size
Isobuster says 2.2 gig file size. Videolan VLC will play but only about 10 min
or so of 55 min file. Isobuster will extract 2.2 gig file which will play with Videolan VLC, just the whole file is not there

Visual inspection of disk reveals that it has been written completely.

3 coasters with same results yet drive/software combo has burnt several movie backups since that play perfectly.

Any thoughts?

update your aspi layer to 4.71 if it's not already. i think the real culprit may be PIO vs. DMA. check to make sure that your drive is in DMA mode, not PIO (do this in the properties of your ide devices in device manager). Additionally, i remember a registry key that had to be edited under some circumstances in order to get the process to work properly, but unfortunately i can't remember what it is.
